You will have two options for taking delivery of your new Camaro:

1. Have it delivered to our dealership in Dearborn, MI where you can pick it up and drive it home;
2. Have it shipped to a dealer in your neighborhood and pick it up there with NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES.

I believe he already has about 80-100 people already in line (estimated he was at mid 60's last time I checked back in Nov.)
I`vebeen on that listfor about a year now.

If you are in the Twin Cities area go to them. Friendly Chev. could not guarantee MSRP.
This is pretty much the same response that I received from Markville Chevrolet in Markham, Ontario (a suburb of Toronto). I was told that the policy of the dealership is to never sell at more than MSRP and that "we don't want to be shortsighted with our customer relations..."
In Canada, it is illegal to sell new cars at more than MSRP, but the dealers are getting around this by stating clearly on the bill of sale how much over MSRP you are being charged and the buyer signs a note of acknowledgment accepting this and agreeing to pay it.

Found 1!

I emailed the last chevy dealer I bought from. They are not taking deposits until they have all the ordering info(said I probably know more about the car then they do). They put me on the list for people to call as soon as they can order and/or take deposits. Said there's 5 other people on that list.

AND...they WILL NOT be marking it up over MSRP.

They're in NY, close to West Point.

My experience with dealerships.....

...they'll tell you what they think you want to hear....

...then go back on their word and charge over MSRP because they had an "unexpectedly high demand."

Because, honestly, what are you going to do about it? You can either wait half a year or more to get one as MSRP, or pay over and get it "now."

....just sayin'...

For those putting down deposits, get the MSRP thing in writing!

YES, GET IT IN WRITING AND SIGNED!!!

A friend of mine waited for his GT500 with written deposit for 10 months at an MSRP deal, only to be told the ADM was going to be $15,000. (he had bought other cars there before too, they didn't care)
His deposit notice was not signed by the dealer, so he didn't have a legal binding contract.
Get it in writing and signed!!!!

Many people were burned in the same way with Z06's....

even with it in writing it doesnt mean anything until there is a VIN number that the paperwork goes to and even then it's not official until the car PHYISICALLY leaves the dealership (once the tires hit the street.)

YES, that would be a must (and common sense). The way I see it, if the dealer is honest and takes care of you (rather than marking it up to make a few bucks), they have more to gain...you'd be a little more inclined to go to them for service, buy more cars from them and tell your friends about them (like posting the dealer info on message boards).

Really people, IF you are willing to pay MSRP or above i think you need to grow up, don't get mad at me just listen, wait a little while, you will feel like a total goof when you pay that price and in 6 months they are selling $1500 over cost, please don't tell me it won't happen, it will.

I like my money too much to burn it like that, i will wait the 6 months and save $$$.

Thumbs up No Price, No Commitment

I'm with you!!!! Damn... I just purchased a 2008 Mazda $3000 below sticker out the door with options man! My purchased was even cheaper than a pre-owned 2007. I worked the deal for they were pressed to crunch the numbers in December!

If you are willing to pay sticker than so be it....... anything new will always sell, just like the Bug, PT Cruiser, etc. Making a deposit/commitment before knowing the actual price is not an intelligent thing to do. For those who don't know the MSRPrice.... it's just a figure that a Dealership works with.

Remember, Dealerships are there to make the profit and pay their bills as well.

How can you argue that that a dealership will not make the most of their sales if they know inventory will move.

I onced ask a Pontiac fleet manager why they don't advertise or have sales incentives for the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, he stated that they sell themselves. The same answer came from a Nissan salesman about a Nissan Z.

First off the block with a vehicle may be nice, but paying MSRP never is. If priced like the Mustangs, every one and their mothers will be cruising around in one within a month. You will be when another person buys it a couple K below the MSRP down the road.

Select your pledge wisely!

While I certainly wont pay over MSRP just because the premise sucks...I have no problem paying sticker if I can order it the way I want it. I've never ordered a car before, but I would imagine they are less likely to knock off $$ on a factory ordered car, but when you buy off the lot, you're getting (and paying for) options you don't want or not getting options you want.

So, I'm thinking (since I'll be ordering mine), in my case the only advantage of waiting will be more GM incentives (can't imagine them offering big discounts or 0% when it first comes out). But I do know when you order a car, you get the incentives they are offering when the car gets delivered, not when you order it...so you're taking a chance either way.

By all means, if $$ is a major issue, wait 6 months for a better deal. I'm thinking...screw it, I've waiting long enough...gimme my Camaro. The only way I'll wait is if I can't get an SS-LS3-M6 right away...and only time will tell if that's the case.
