Besides, along with the 'stang there will be a year head start with that bitchin' Challenger.
Proud owner of many Camaro's in my 55 years but have to strip the emotion from this issue and look at the dollars and cents.
Ain't going to happen. Restore what you got now and make it last.

Furthermore, there is no 'impending' deal with Renault. It's merely an 'exploration' at this point. Don't assume you know what information I'm aware of, or not aware of. Obviously, many factors come into play....that is why we are all so anxious to hear an actual announcement.

You're right! You are "Out". As in out of touch.
Care to make a friendly wager on this?

Re: Car Craft Editor acknowledges new Camaro production...
Just because a company such as GM 'turns the corner by making some money' still doesn't mean they have turned the corner for the business model they are.
A company dealing in sales of products can 'make' money several different ways. One of those ways is expense management or cost reduction that goes right to the bottom line and reflects that the company 'made' money.
One other way is to actually increase sales of their products, penetrate new markets and increase profit margins on those sales.
I believe that GM has 'made' money due to expense management or cost cutting and not necessarily by increasing sales. As most financial analysts would tell you that to continue year after year 'making' money by cost reductions and not through increasing sales is a train coming at you approximately 3-5 years down the road. And guess what GM wants coming down the road 3-5 years from now....yep, the Concept Crumaro.
If they don't work on 'making' money by increasing sales (which they aren't), opening new market in the USA (which they aren't) or increasing their margins (0 percent financing, rebates, incentives, etc.) aren't. In fact they are actually squeezing their margins with those programs.
I would love to see GM come out of it, I would love to see them penetrate something other than the SUV market but taking a 'concept car chance' is not what GM should be doing now.
As a fairly well known person (his name is on the Super Bowl trophy) once said - practice the fundamentals, practice, practice, practice - then we will mix in a trick (concept) play.
GM, get your fundamentals in order, sales up, redesign that psuedo Cadillac you call a Camaro and then send me the number of the nearest dealer.
Peace out
