Not that it's necessarily a big secret, or that the car mags actually know whats going on, but I thought it was interesting.

I was at the Car Craft Summer Nationals on Sunday, and the Editor (forgot his name) was talking over the intercom before the Miss Car Craft contest and stated that from what they had heard the new Camaro was going to be produced, and also would look almost identical to the concept. They commented that in many cases, concepts take a far turn from the actual car, but that was not going to be the case with the new Camaro. Since they went so far as to make that distinction, I thought that was pretty cool.

Maybe it's not newsworthy, but it sure was exciting to hear whilst strolling through hundreds(thousands?) of beautiful cars!

Yet another magazine taking a shot in the dark and hoping to be right and get credit, cause no one will remember who was wrong. only those that where correct.

 

The only people who know for sure are the people within GM who are working on it "as if it were an approved program". Until we hear Scott saying "The Camaro will be produced in 20XX" (And he'll post here the second he can), take anything you hear with a grain of salt.

 

I thought everybody already new it is going to be produced, it's just a matter of when it will be released. Of coarse until GM says the magic words you can argue that there's a chance of it not coming, but realistically looking at the situation it WILL be produced. Take a look at every hint Mr. Setlemire has dropped...it is moving along for production.

Shucks, I think that translates to 2020?!? Jeez, my Silverado will have a brazillion miles by then!

Yeah, I know the car mags don't have a real clue, but it sure got my ears perked up as I was strolling through countless 1st gens all over our fairgrounds on Sunday!!

Until I hear the magic words from the man himself, I will wait with child-like anticipation with a tinge of trepidation!

Okay, now back to daydreaming about what color I would like.....
