You're saying it will not be functional on any model!?

edit: I don't mean to throw the "deal killer" card out, but this was assumed by those that wanted the HO that it would be functional.
...It should at least be open or folks are gonna be looking down right stupid for the money they pay.

me neither...the hood is cool, but I'd rather would just have the traditional rally stripes. The hockey stripes I think would be better without the hood stripes.

Stripes make it look fat...

Id like to see a set of Z28 stripes....
Id assume that this is some GM designers testing out some designs, and no doubt the iconic hockey stripe of the First gens were gunna be tested.

im not confident that this is a true pic and not edited yet. I hope they are testing something big, but not holding my breath about it

stripes could look good, but only if it was one or the other...not both hockey stick and hood stripe.

This was decided a LONG time ago. The Z/28 will be the "top dog".

A Dremel will take care of that very quickly.

I'm pretty sure that the front fascia slot will be on the SS only. At any rate, nope, not fuctional. In fact, the hood latch mechanism is behind it, so the aftermarket won't have an easy time coming up with something simple to make it functional either.

Side note: There are no plans for a SC'd motor for the SS.

Personally, I think the stripes look like crap. Even if they were seperate (hockey and hood) I don't like either one. The old school dual stripes is the only way to go

The hockey stick stripes are also old school.

Only Ford has to use superchargers from the factory to make there cars even remotely fast. GM can do it NA. The new zr1 well....that thing is going to be insane along with the price tag

I'd rather have the dual stripes that the 'vert concept and Bumblebee had.

I'm guessing he hasn't heard that we're anticipating that the Z/28 will be supercharged.
