I did my part!

Ordered a 2011 1SS 6-speed SW/CGM convertible, should be seeing it soon. Already signed paperwork and paid, so it counts as an April sale.

This is the first Camaro I've ordered exactly the way I wanted it since my 1989 IROC convertible 5-speed.

Now if GM could just get the thing on a railcar!

I hadn't checked the status of my Camaro order in a while when I mentioned GM needed to get it on a railcar. It actually went out a week ago, and the status just changed from 4200 (shipped) to 4800 (rail ramp unload).

Hopefully that means rail ramp unload in Long Beach (or wherever the cars are delivered in the LA area) and it's only a short transporter ride to the dealer.

After driving all three competitive cars (Mustang, Challenger, Camaro) and posting my impressions of the dealer experience and the cars in the Automotove News/ New Vehicles forum, I tell any naysayers: go with an open mind and have a look.
