With this new concept camaro are they making ss rs or z28?

I've never understood why a number of people are enamored with the 'IROC' badge.

It's not a Camaro specific designation. (Though I admit I'm not sure every car it's been on. I just know that after it left Camaro it was on the Daytona.)

So what's it appeal? I much prefer Z28 to IROC-Z. IROC reminds me of SS in that it can be a car other than the Camaro...

 

Berlinetta returns as the top model, Z28 will go to the base V6, with the SS being the ***** to the walls V6.

 

LOL Berlinetta has a special place with me.

My first car was a 10 year old 1982 Berlinetta.

Though the name 'Berlinetta' does have more character than the generic 'SS' or 'Super Sport' imo.

On a side note, today I got asked by someone in a truck if my 2000 Z had a HEMI in it...

It was a Type-R.

But really, if it was an SS or a Z28 it might have had one of those badges on it.

 

Just remember if they do bring out both the SS & the Z28 the cars will most likely start life as a Z28 like they did in the 4th gens & then be shipped somewhere like SLP to be upgraded.
