And you guys call yourselves Camaro fans?
"Eat My Dust!" (1976) starring Ron Howard. He steals a 1967 Camaro race car and runs from the cops.

I actually enjoyed the chase scene in The Marine, even if it was short, the poor Z/28 died, and it was the only bright spot in an otherwise awful movie.
A couple of nights ago I downloaded both the old and the new versions of Vanishing Point.
WE NEED MORE MOVIES LIKE THIS. Good lord. I empathized with the hero, loved all of the chase scenes, drooled over the car, and there was little to no plot at all. Now what happened to movies like this? Movies that worked without special effects, a plot with hundreds of twists, and scenes that just simply appealed to the the guy who has spent hours on Streetfire.
In terms of a movie like Bullitt or Vanishing Point for the new Camaro? I call it in as unlikely simply because the philosophy for making movies has changed.
Unfortunately for us, Michael Bay movies have won.

Challenger- Vanishing Point
Mustang- Bullitt (also w/ Charger), James Bond- Diamond are Forever
Camaro- (yep) Better off Dead... nothing else comes to mind. The Saleen Camaro looks like it is going to be pretty sweet in the Transformers...and Bumblebee is a main character!

Re Tokyo Drift: where was he going to get a built V8 in Japan in a day? He already had the RB26DETT that was pretty stout in the Silvia he busted up... I thought it was a pretty cool solution even if it was unusual.
But if you were too disappointed, the Mustangs that did the stunts had Windsor V8s

Dont know if this was said but that is not a real Camaro in the Transformer movie. Saleen built it from a GTO and made it look like a Camaro. They are also talking with GM and are going to have 2 Saleen Edition Camaro's a 485hp one and a 600hp supercharged is what Steve wants to build.

While staring at Salma Hayek in "After the Sunset" I think I noticed that Pierce Brosnan (sp?) drove a convertible '69 Camaro. Pretty sharp looking car.
A tear rolled down my cheek in F&F 2 when they blew the door off the Yenko Camaro and then jumped it onto the boat, even though I'm sure it wasn't a real Yenko.
Farve's Orange Third gen chased down the Porsche in Super Troopers.
That is all I have for now
