Anybody afraid of what happened to the mustang happening to the camaro?
The same thing will happen to the Camaro!!!! Everyone's sister and grandma will be driving a 4 or 6 cylinder that will MSRP under $25 - $27k just for the look.
The rest of you will be back against the wall as local dealership does markups, along with the Premium setup for the 8 Cylinders, the vehicle will be out of reach and not worth while. Chevy manu. can give you a bang for your bucks but the vehicle will not be reachable once delivered. Other than that, making the sales to last the production duration from the 4 and the 6 is more important to Chevy than your interest of 8 owners. If the 4 and 6 sells, production of the 8 is not a whopping necessity.
It all boils down to the $ money money!!!!! Revenue Revenue!!

WTF?!
Dude, this is probally the dumbest, stupidest most ridiculous post I've read here in a long time!!
Either you're blind or have an IQ that's numerically lower than my shoe size (11).
How anyone can log on to this site, see flaming huge a**ed picture of a big black production Camaro prototype right frigging there on the main page where it's impossible to miss it, and still start a bloody thread like this.
FWIW, the Mustang in the picture was a stylized concept that was BASED on the production Mustang! The car was designed before the concept came out. The car wasn't based on the concept.
Please take time to think about your posts in the future. Don't become fodder for my next rant about some of the ridiculous stuff people come in here and post.

Thats a yellow.. pre-production car, that is dirty, on a cloudy day, not professionally taken photos..
Looks pretty awesome anyway to me.... The car we see driving around looks 95% like the concept to me.

uh... I guess you don't want to see it... so... it is pointless
there is no need to lob insults i'm just the voice of the average customer...not everybody is going to be a hardcore gearhead like you guys...
i'm going to be the voice of the average guy who fell in love with the concept but noticed that it might have lost its oh sh*t factor come production time...

The average customer doesn't even know there are mules or pre-production cars or whatever you call them even driving around. So I do not see the point. When the car comes out and there is no duct tape, autozone headlamps, and production everything on the car then judge it.
What exactly has it lost... Its not a tall car, 99% of the body features are still there, big wheels like everyone wants nowadays. The gas filler is gone, there are production mirrors, and side marker lamps.. oh and the spoiler is missing on the preproduction cars. What exactly is the problem?

The average customer is going to be someone who doesn't go to autoshows and whose only exposure to the Camaro before it comes out is a short blurb on the evening news or Time magazine. The avreage buyer is going to buy the V6, and will probally have looked at or at least considered not only a Mustang but also a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and probally also a Mitsubishi as well.
You don't even seem to reflect the viewpoint of Camaro enthusiasts, whom seem universal in their praise of the production car. Just take a tour around the threads.
I don't know what your point is or what you're trying to say or prove. This is the 4th thread of yours I can recall where you just seem to be looking for any reason you can (even creating ones out of thin air) to bash GM using the Camaro or the fact you aren't getting the information you want. When you start talking about how a Camaro looks "crappy and washed out" based on a picture taken at long distance on an obviously not so clear day and a car that obviously hasn't been washed, the word idiot comes to mind.
The production car looks every bit like the concept as is possible with manufacturing realities, regulatory realities, and being usable and livable in day to day use along with it being financial practical.
If you think the production Camaro looks nothing like the concept, then you can stand in that very lonely line of people who don't.
To date, you seem to be the only one standing in it.

No... you are NOT the voice of the "average" customer. The average customer will at a glance not be able to tell the difference. You seem to be nitpicking.... a polite way of whining (picking what amounts to nothing and using it to bash or flame, in this case, GM).

look i'm as patiotic as anybody on here...hard right wing conservative who only buys american cars...
but....lets not kid ourselves here...gm and ford have an image problem
the camaro concept had an exotic look that looked even better than the corvette
i've already stated that the pre-production looks pretty good and once all the emblems, real headlight and tailights, and a nice showroom paintjob come in we will probably be drooling...
but don't try to tell me that that yellow camaro has the same wow factor as the concept..
i mean lets be real here...the last gen camaros were bubbly and ugly
yes they can...there's a reason so many people look at a gm car and say wow that looks cheap and then decide to go buy a honda or toyota...

I agree with Guy chevydude. You're comparing a the dirty yellow Camaro pic taken through a bunch of trees to the digitally enhanced concept Camaro photos. And the 4th gen Camaro was "bubbly"? Okay.....
If you havent yet take a peek at all the high res black preprod Camaro photos, especially the one where its parked in between an Avenger and a Tahoe. I'd say its kept its sinister look very well. Exactly like the concept no, but pretty damn close.
