Availability of 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package
Back in November, information was shared with you regarding two future production models that were being shown at this past year%u2019s SEMA show. Starting next week (Thursday, February 17, 2011), dealers will be able to submit orders for one of those models -- the 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package (option code: ABN).
This package was designed using a combination of new accessory parts and factory installed options for customers seeking a different looking Camaro at an affordable price. The 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package includes:
As the title of this package indicates, this new package is available only with the Camaro 1LT (model code: 1EF37), and is limited to the following exterior colors:
As mentioned above, ordering for the new 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package starts Thursday, February 17, 2011. This package does not require any special coupe allocation and will be available for order submission for the remainder of the 2011 model run.
The package’s MSRP is $5765. When combined with the Camaro 1LT and the standard six speed manual transmission, the MSRP of the model and package is $30,495 (including DFC, excluding tax, titles and other fees). Attached for your reference is a file that provides further information on this new package that can be reproduced locally for dealership activities. - Dealer-installed new Silver Side Body Stripe (a future Camaro LPO Accessory)
- Dealer-installed Premium Carpeted Floor Mats (a current Camaro LPO Accessory)
- 12 Month Trial Subscription to XM

So is this gonna be offered as a vert or with a moonroof or just as a hardtop? With that $5765 tag on the package they should offer it with a moonroof imo. Offering a 6 vert would only serve to attract more female buyers that way just as GM is currently trying to do with the '11 SS vert, especially those looking for something that gets a little better mpg's. Not to mention, it'd get a few collectors out of the woodwork as Jason alluded to.

Yeah, with that package, you're mostly paying for the silly 21" wheels. If that package was, say, half that with the RS polished 20s, THEN I'd say they have something here.
I don't see it garnering much collector value with a V6, either. I like the fact they're accessorizing this car, and putting the effort in, but the packages should make sense.
This one, for the price, makes no sense.

As much as I like the looks of the car...the whole "XM edition" is a tough one to get over. I like XM a lot...enough to use it and have it on my car radio...but not enough to dedicate an entire car theme (or car theme name) to it.
