? about insurance on modded Camaro
something else to consider. While they might not care about certain sound, appearance, suspention, and brake mods and raising rates; they might not like you trying to insure a car with MORE horsepower. Especially one with a power adder, whether it be supercharger, turbo, or nitrous.
Some companies will even fail to insure cars with such mods.
Its a difficult line to try and walk as far as what you might want to mention to your insurer. Tell em too much they might disown the car, dont tell them enough and they might not pay out for parts added; because you weren't rated/billed properly.
Best best might be the people who insure specialty cars, grundy/haggarty(sp) or whoever. If you go that route, you might be sibject to limits on use, and be able to prove a daily driver other than the insured car.

if you get it appraised, its going to worth less than it was when it was sitting at the dealership. not a good idea. just save receipts and turn them in to the ins. co. and have them insure all the items you put in the car.
