Talking 5th gen at chicago auto show

ive been liking f bodies for little over 2 years now. but when the first 5th gen concept came out, i thought to myself, "what the hell is that?" but when i went to the chicago auto show last year to see it, i was amazed by how good looking it is in person. when the convertable was unvailed, i said, "ew". i just went to the auto show today (sunday), and let me tell you: ive never liked convertables until i saw this car. the only other exception was my buddy's 02 SS 35th anniversary edition. when i walked up to the concept to take a closer look, honest to god, i was shocked at how sexy it looked. i took over 30 pictures of it, and i wish i took more. i really think that this will do gm good when they release it. now i want one!!

before i end this, i gotta say the podcast kicks ***!!! great job guys.

I've been lucky enough to see the red and silver concepts, and after seeing both I agree, they are much better in person. I really liked how small and compact they look. The silver concept looked it it was waiting to launch of that perch. I need to see the convertible now, but it looks awesome in pics. I can only imagine what it will look like in person.

Nice pics everyone, that car sure does look sharp close up. Two more days until I get to see it first hand.

I was at the Auto Show a few days ago and love the look from the front, like the look from the side, but absolutely hate the look of the rear.

The tail lights look like an afterthought and unnecessarily "different" and the silver cladding around the exhaust openings are as pointless as they are ugly.

Then we have the interior. The dash and center console are going to cost plenty of sales if it doesn't drastically change. I promise it is well on the way to costing at least one sale.

I agree about the silver exhaust openings... need to do away with that. However, I think the rear of the car is on of the best angles. I love the rear tail lights... just my opinion i guess.

I am right there with you on the interior though... I think the seats are unique and would like to see them stay, but the console gages and instrument cluster is too much for me. However, I have it on very good authority that the instrument cluster, is going thorugh major revisions We will just have to wait and see what the final product looks like.

You're not the only one. The rear of the Camaro is one of the best looking car rearends I've seen. The taillights are just mean looking. The chrome exhaust doesn't bother me, but if it's changed it won't bother me either. But I'd like to see that unpainted part be colored on the production model.

About the interior guys, it has been dicussed many many times on here that the interior will probably see some changes for production.
