The only thing I don't like about this one are the protruding creases on the sides just behind the front and rear fenders. It doesn't seem to fit. They look like body molding stick-ons and take away from the rest of the vehicle.

Looking at it again, I know what it is that I don't like. The lines do not fit for two reasons.

(1) The lines are not parallel with the side lines in the body that run midway through the door panels. The fender lines seem to angle down.

(2) The fender lines to do not blend with the curves of the fenders above them. Both the front and rear fenders are curvy, yet the lines are straight...its like they were put in there as an after thought.

that is the one thing that i would remove. the car is drop dead gorgeous, but it would definetley suit the body lines better without the 69 Camaro ridges coming off the wheel openings.

With some more 69 in the front end, that car would look HOT

Re: 5gen Camaro Concept!

See the rear, looks too OPEL-ish...needs to lose the 4-round tail lights...makes me shivver every time I see them...ooooohhhh...(in a bad way.)
Needs a little more rear spoiler too, Camaro trademark, at least optional.

I would have to agree, about the only thing all of these sketchs have done to me is making me want to vomit.

Atomic Shark's is hot looking, but its too retro, imo. Chris's is probably much closer to reality. Remember the nose needs to fit the new Chevy styling cues used by other cars (nee: Cobalt, Malibu, Impala), while still having a Camaroesque vibe to it.

Besides, if I wanted a new '69 Camaro, there are alternatives.

If you ask me, I'd hate to see the new Camaro share any traits with the other cars in the lineup. IMO, it should be Vette-like. Just make it its own car, no need to copy "traits".

Re: 5gen Camaro Concept!

An observation about 'traits':

I don't know if it's coinsidental or planned on Chevy's/GM's part, but all the Chevy's coupes have quad tail lamps or dominant reflectors (Cobalt, MC, 'Vette), the sedans do not anymore ('06 Impala).

Could this be a new signiture detail like the red bowtie and chrome spear were?

I like Atomicshark's car except for the tail. Make an adjustment there, and Chevy can have my money.

i hate to use this example but the mustang doesn't share any cues with the other cars in the ford line up. shark's concept does have a cobalt like rear which im not a big fan of. the camaro needs to have its own features and maybe share something like the lights or something minor.
