That's pretty impressive considering that there are probably a ton of dealers like mine that have taken peoples money and order preferences but can't seem to figure out how to get the orders in the system.

What dealership is it? If you have any problems, talk to Don Trunko at Londoff, very nice guy that will put the order into the system.

Almost 3000 ordered and our poll shows only 23 people ordered up here. If that ratio
is a true indicator, this car is going to do very well.

Damn, I wish I had known ahead of time. As it stands, I'm first at Weber Chevy at Olive and 270. I don't want to give up my spot.

I'm sure the dealership will be pissed at me, but I called Chevy customer care looking for answers to their ordering problems. The dealer tells me that they called a number of local and non-local dealers and they are having the same issues. I just don't understand how that can be the case. Chevy customer care took all the info and said they would open a ticket to find out what Weber's problem is, but we'll see.

If I don't have some answers soon I may ask Weber to contact Don Trunko but I'm sure Don Trunko and everyone else that's getting confirmation numbers are using the quick order through order workbench. For whatever reason, Weber doesn't want to use that method and they only want to order via the standard ordering method.

I just find it ridiculous that I'm put the in the position of having to contact Chevy to get Weber's ordering issue straightened out.

Let the numbers speak for themselves!

3000 in three days. That is what I am talking about.
Seems the over pricing naysayers got it all wrong.
Way to go GM! Exciting news for this car and for GM!
Can't wait to take delivery of mine and see the girlfriend get hers.

That is effin' awesome - that's about the entire first two weeks of production. This is the first time I have ordered a car from the factory, so maybe you veterans can tell me what I could expect as far as when they notify us of when are cars will start down the line? And what other exciting milestones are there (prior to receiving the car) for people who have already ordered? I figured my best bet of staying sane while waiting for this car is to enjoy what happens up until that point.

This is great news. I hope that number keeps climbing, especially with gas coming back down to a semi-reasonable price.

There isn't enough publicity about this in Canada. No one in my Camaro club even knew we could pre-order this week and we hold our meetings at a Chevy dealership!

3k orders, that should send a very strong message to GM. I'm very happy to hear this news. I was hoping for at least 1k, but this is truely good news for GM and the consumers. IMHO

And I have yet to see one of these bad boys in person. I can't wait.

Although, when the solstice came out, they had 1000 orders in the first 40 minutes. I'm not trying to compare anything since there are so many differences, including the economy. Just putting it in perspective.

3000 orders in three days frankly should be expected. Enthusiasts have gone 7 years without a Camaro on the dealer lots. There are a lot of hungry Chevy people out there. The real test will be 6+ months after release then 2nd year sales and 3rd.... I hope this ride lasts a long time but I'm afraid it is a little to early to tell.
