C6 Z06 without a doubt. The 5th gen. will be an amazing car, but common a super/sports car vs. a muscle car? The Corvette is like a super model and the Camaro is like a good looking everyday chick. Some may prefer option b. but not I.

I'm gonna go test drive a C6 and see what it feels like. I drove the C5 droptop and i loved it.

Depends on if you prioritize performance over comfort. I have a feeling the Camaro will be more comfortable as a DD, but it will not compete with the Z06 in pure performance.

for me.. it would be the 5th gen...

not just because its a camaro, but because i dont really know many vette owners that are down to earth, and what not.

Styling and what not on the 5th gen is to me much cooler than the vette, even though clearly there are traces of the vette in the 5th gen. If i had enough $ to buy a c6 z06 you can bet that i'd wait and buy the top dog camaro.. but thats just me.

If you can afford a C6 Z06, I dont understand why one would even ask.

Perhaps a more appropriate question would be a C6 Z06 or 2 5th gen Camaros.. thats more balanced in terms of actual purchase price.

If money is no object, which it sounds like it isn't, go for the C6 Z06.

Or, just get yourself a low mileage early C6 or a low mileage C5 Z06 to hold you over until the 500+ HP Camaro comes out.

I went the C5 Z06 route and I'll see what happens in 2010/2011 when the 5th Gen "Bad-@ss" comes out.

How much can a low mile C5 Z06 run for in the states?
cars are over priced here in Canada.

For me, it wouldn't be an easy choice at all.......

The butt-dyno screams 'Z06!!!!'....but practicality, and pretty much all of my soul screams Camaro. I want a powerful car that I can drive to the Grocery store if I need to. I don't want a car that I can't take out onto the road. (forget ride quality and handling - I would NEVER take out a C6 Z06 just to drive around. I consider that car to be way to powerful for daily driving - not to mention valuable...scratches!?!?)

So...Camaro it is. Sorry, Vette.

Im sure someone can give you a better answer but check www.ebay.com and www.autotrader.com for a general idea. BTW Im dieing to know why things are so expensive in your country... or if they would let you bring home and register a car from one of our dealers at a cheaper price.

I was shopping for about a month and a half and a few I was considering were:

2002 with 22,000 miles from an idividual for $26,300
2003 with 16,000 miles from a dealer for $29,900
2003 with 28,000 miles from a dealer for $29,000

The higher the mileage and older the car, the closer you can get to $25K.

I ended up getting a 2004 with 24,000 miles with brand new tires and in EXCELLENT condition for $29,900 from a dealer.

You've got to be careful when you're shopping though as I found quite a few that had obviously been abused judging from the service history when I ran the VIN's through the Chevy dealer. Be patient, do your homework (run the VIN through Carfax AND the dealer) and you can find a good deal.

My vote is for a stripper z51 mn6 C6 w/ the LS3 and a v8 2010 auto Camaro. It will be about the same amount of money. Drag race the camaro, and use the vette for autocross. This is what I`m doing. already have the vette...

Good call. A monster like the Z06 or a tamer more civil Camaro V8.
Id probably take the Camaro. I know a lot people said it, but I just am in love with this car. If it drives like it looks...its gunna be an easy sale.
