2009 come on GM don't you think that pushing is back a little far? it is 2006 this don't take that long anymore. Ford is out and Dodge is comming out late 2007 to early 2008. GM don't get that far behind the 8 ball

Re: 2009?

You do realize GM is building this car on a BRAND NEW platform right? Chrysler already has the 300 platform to throw the Challenger on.

Re: 2009?

I do know that but I really feel that GM might be missing the hype if they wait that long

Re: 2009?

If the "official" date is 2009 and it gets moved up who is going to complain?
Perhaps GM is going back to its roots of delivering more car than it promises up front. So the buyer will be "pleasantly surprised".

Re: 2009?

2009 is late imho.
How long has GM had? Since late 2002.

Also by '09= democrats in the whitehouse, strict cafe, $4+ gal gas.
Active fuel management can only do so much.

I hope I am wrong.

Re: 2009?

Whether you think it is late or not, GM's not in the business of stalling things just to stall them. They'd obviously make more money by getting it to market sooner.

Therefore, one has to assume that early 2009 is the best they can do.

It must be going to Oshawa because this fits 100% with Guy's timeline.

Re: 2009?

In the GMT-900 truck intro, didnt the guy say they got the trucks finished 13 months ahead of planned schedule?

Re: 2009?

I think this is totally low balling and planning on coming sooner.

I bet we see the car early/mid 2008
