Looks like the 2012 is getting some new LED halo'ish illuminated taillights too . Look very close , those are definately not 10-11 taillamps , the inner lens is cear with a black bezel when the brake lights arent on . Looks like there joined in the center now instead of 2 separate lamps . The ugly reverse lights are gone from the bumper too . Bravo GM, that looks so much better.

Hard to tell, but the tail lights look a little like the '67-'69 style. What's the latest on the dash? Wasn't there some talk about changes to the dash for '12?

Looks like similar tail light design to me to me, but just in LED form and illuminating around the outside. Hard to tell, but might be right about the reverse lights. Maybe that are integrated into the center of the taillights. Of course the reflection of sunlight could be playing tricks on the eyes too.
Has the protective tape on it like it just came off the line. Trial build run of a vert?

Good catch either way

If you watch it in 1080p and play the start stop game with the vid you get can get a really clear shot at a few of the angles . I thought refections from the sun was playing games to , but its definately a 1 piece tail design on that particular car with a clear lens . The top part of the LED halo spans the entire lenght of the top of the taillight with no separation in the middle .

I do believe you are correct. It does seem that way. It looks like the bottom of the lights in the middle, it has that little peak. Probably just to visually break it up into two so it doesn't just look like one big brick of a light.

Very interesting. Looks like the tail light is now one piece instead of two individual tail lights on each side of the car. Looks like LED but either way it looks good.
I'm glad GM is going to keep the Camaro fresh with cosmetic updates like this.

This was my understanding too, and am VERY interested to see if/what changed.

I think towards the top end of the tail lights might be the reflective strip that I see on my '10 SS tail lights. But can't wait to see. Question is... The shark gills, are those going to be painted/vinyl'd/covered in a trim piece from the factory?

The shark fin seems to have disappeared from the trunk lid.

The interior is said to be getting a substantial upgrade for MY2012 . Whether that means a new design or same design with upgraded materials is not know . GM left it at substantial upgrade with no elaborations . The vert will be released as a 2012 since it will be released after Jan 2011 , so you see all the upgrades at that time I would assume .

I really like these new Tail lights. IMO much more contemporary and modern with what appears to be integrated reverse lights? They have the BMW/Audi look to them. Very well done. No more middle of the bumper reverse lights? YES! GM is definitely listening and working hard with constant improvements. Can't wait to see the new interior for the 2012. I'd say the 2011 5.0 Mustang and Camaro SS are the fiercest competitors since the 60's.
