Red fades to pink over the years. Look at some higher mileage cars with red interiors.

A friend of mine has a black GTO with a red interior and it's faded to pink sitting in the sun all summer. Looks horrid.

I think the next daily driver car I get no matter what make/model I am going to get all the red stuff for the interior I can find and try to get a silver or black exterior!! Red rules for me. I know that red fades to pink over the years, but its usually just the plastic trim and that can be painted.

With the proper shade of red and tastefully accented , a red interior looks incredibly on a silver , gunmetal , black or white car . A camaro interior done like this would look great ...but adding the typically high gloss red painted panels to the dash and door panels would absolutely RUIN it .

To add to the WELL done red GTO interior .

That GTO interior looks awesome!! I think I would still like at least red carpet with the red seats and partly red door panels.

my g8 has red and black leather interior and it looks fantastic. if you treat the leather every few months and throw a car cover over it on days it's not used it will never fade.

I myself have never really liked the red interiors. My 85 Monte SS had red and it wasn't bad, but it was more of a maroon then bright red. I have seen some GTO's with the red accents and I didn't think those where terrible.
I don't like it when the go overboard and start putting the red on the dash board.

A friend at work recently picked up an orange SS with orange accented interior and it looks great. I suppose a red car with red accents would also look good, but only on a red car and only bc its accented red, not an entire red interior.

But it can be done more tastefully if properly mixed with a black interior:

Those pictures are the perfect example of what I mean. Red interiors are horrendous, red accents aren't for me, but they can be done well.
