Racing seat.

after our track day at mid ohio yesterday, ive ralized that i need a racing set with the new 5 point harness and harness bar i just put in. reason being, since the sub harness isnt long enough to go under the seat, it has to go in the crack of the seat and i sit on it and bring it up through my legs( like recomended by the speedware motorsports). after further testing, ive noticed that it uhhhh....mmmm.... just doest sit well. so im in the market for a driver side only racing seat. unless theres a good deal on 2. basically, im looking for something with holes for the shoulder harness and a sub harness hole in the seat. i was looking at sparco and they have some nice seats, but nothing with the submarine belt hole. i looked at corbeau and they have the option to pay 29 bucks for the submarine hole. so if anyone has any idea for seats or if you have any experience with these seats, please help me out.

oh...one more thing...theres a price limit. id like to stay under 500 a piece. so no $1600 carbon fiber sparco....but man i wish!

heres pictures of the ones i saw that i kinda like.

Re: Racing seat.

Corbeau has always been the middle of the road as far as seats go. Not cheap like the junk you can find on eBay, but not Sparco. Overall, I hear good things about them and you will probably do well with them. If you get to the point where they aren't performing the way you need them to, you are probably racing at a level where you can afford Sparcos.

Well i would do a sparcobut like i said they don't offer a submarine belt hole in their reclining seats. Now i can do a fixed back seat but Im scared to get one of those without being able to trial fit it in.the car.

Re: Racing seat.

just got off the phone with sparco. and they dont offer a anti submarine hole for the 5 point in any of their street version seats. so if i wanted to go with sparco, id have to do a racing seat with the solid back. and i wouldnt have a problem doing one of those, i just want the option to be able to adjust it depending on the drive. plus, i dont think a solid back seat will have much support for street use.
