Race Seats went in today

I'm sure some of you guys will cringe at seeing the Camaro interior like this... but today was the last day of prep before getting it out to the cage shop next week. I've never run Sabelt seats before, but you know... when your sponsors get you things... Big thanks to Piper Motorsport for the seats, btw.

Headliner coming out:

Lol, who needs airbags?

Thanks, well, I drive for KaleidoLINKS, and our biggest sponsor is GM, they actually gave us the Camaro, and a new Sonic. We pretty much run Time Trials and The One Lap of America in the Camaro, so all road course racing. The Camaro will only have a roll-bar installed (but a very good one), the Sonic is the car that GM wants us actually racing, it's going to be run in SCCA B-Spec in 2012, and hopefully if the series ends up getting picked up by World Challenge or Grand-Am and Chevy commits to making a kit for the car to enter; we'll be running it for them in either of those series in 2013. So the Sonic is the full race, fully caged, race car.

Yeah, it's definitely coming along. It should be ~90% finished by next weekend. Then we can concentrate on the Sonic (yeah, the Camaro's a lot more fun). We're supposed to have both the Camaro and Sonic finished in time for the DC Auto Show... lol, the Sonic will probably be 1/2 finished, but it should be a good showing, GM has us in their display this year.

Re: Race Seats went in today

Snap in eyes for the harnesses went in today, cut out about 35lbs of metal under the rear seats... oh and some bars went in too Unfortunately the green we bought looks like an easter egg on crack... seriously the picture doesn't show how hideous the color is, so... we're going to get less pastel and much more flourescent green for the wheels and bars.

HUGE thanks to Piper Motorsport... seriously they probably do the best cage work on the east coast.
