HUd: How Does It Work

So does the 2011 Camaro SS HUD work via seletion of idsplay information i.e? Can you have all up at once? Is there a limit of display items the HUD can have at one time? What are the display arrangements etc...?

Considering the visibility "problem" that some say you might have, most camaros have a limit to the amount of items that can be displayed on the HUD, but either way it is still amazing. I especially like when the radio is attached to it and when your driving you can see what song is about to go on, in your windshield

Re: HUd: How Does It Work

The hud has 3 views (this is from the manual).

When a song is playing from your USB, the display shrinks a bit (little animation) for about 10 seconds, and the artist/song title etc appears at the top. I don't recall what happens when someone calls, I think the phone # appears in the same location.

When the turn by turn is going, you get a display like this once you approach a turn:

With mine being a manual transmission, I don't get the gear stuff displayed. But that's it, that's all the displays, there's really no configurability to it, other than which of the 3 you want.

I'll try to take some photos next time I'm in the car, if you guys want.

I like how it integrates so many features, but I really like the HUD in the Corvette that shows the G forces that the car pulls along with your choice of things like oil level, engine temp, trans temp, etc. It is just a bit small in my opinion & doesn't quite reach high enough where I want to see it.

I would hope that it does. Seems like it would be suitable for the page with the tachometer.
