Factory body kit

I seen one installed on a yellow 5th gen yesterday. Why doesn't this kit come painted the color of the car? Will it come painted to match in the future?

I think it would look good if it was painted to match the car. With that said, yellow and gray looks to me.... Not to mention the body lines in front of the rear tires are off with this kit when the color doesn't match the car.

I don't know of any aftermarket body kit manufacturer that offers them color matched without an extra fee or just plain being more expensive.

Understood. I agree that after-market parts are just that. However, aren't we talking about a manufacturer option? I assume, and correct me if I am mistaken, that these come bolted on from the factory? If so, wouldn't it be easy enough to paint them on or near the time of installation?

But, if this is a dealer installed option, I can understand why they aren't being painted without an additional fee.

This is correct, it is an aftermarket (non-factory) dealer installed option.

on the 4th gen werent they painted to match the car when you ordered them? its all part of the install price most of the time. this kit should be painted to match when installed. if you want it the flat grey, it should just be a cheaper install price. but im almost 100% certain the 4th gen came as an installed and painted price.
