OMG! dont even get me started on beretta's!!!! I had a 94 Z26... put in about 4 alternators, 2 transmissions, powerstering pump, 5,000 sets of pads and rotors, cracked head gasket.. and 2 plastic radiators.. I took a long break from GM after that pos!! I went import for a few years but I must say I have had hardly any problums out of my TA

My '87 IROC had the peeling paint problem. GM agreed to paint the car when it had 76,000 miles in March 1993. They did a bare metal paint job with polyurethane clearcoat and it held up to the sun better than the original water based paint w/ clearcoat.
The Berettas were a disaster. I think GM officially jumped the shark with those things. Then they came out with the second gen Luminas and copied the Beretta/Corisca styling!!!
Sometime between '82 when the third gens came out and '88 when the Berettas came out bad decisions were made at GM
I blame Roger Smith, and I don't even know if he was there at the time. I just like to blame him anyway.
