Info on LS1 Turbo/Twin Turbo
alright... if anyone out there knows any websites that have single turbo and twin turbo kits for LS1's, please reply w/ the website - im pretty interested in getting myself a turbo kit for my camaro but im not quite sure w/ one to go with.
i know about the single turbo kit they have on ls1 motorsports.com... that looks pretty nice from what i've seen. i've also heard about the incon twin turbo kit, but if im correct, they stopped the production of it? anyways, anyone know the hp/torque gain from a incon tt ls1?
and one last thing... whats better, twin turbo or single turbo? and why? thanks for all your help guys... i like the kit from ls1motorsports, but if i'll be looking around for something better till i find the best thanks for all your help

Go to new items and you will find the Charged air systems Twin turbo kits!
Im very pleased with mine! Good luck.
Also the main dif IMO is what you want, weight is a factor, TQ #'s they say, but mainly personal prefirance!

CAS - LS1 F-Body Twin Turbo Kit Stage 2
Stage II UP TO 650-850 Rear wheel horsepower – 7-15 psi
hmm... why are you only boosting 7 lbs? have you ever boosted more? seems to me that w/ all the things you've got on your sig, you should be over 520+ hp.... give me as much info as you can about this kit, because im really interested in a turbo setup for my car, thanks man

whats your goals and how much boost you wanna run? I would go with a single turbo its nicer to tune. less plumbing and more room. I assume you have forged internals (crank, rods, pistons) ready for the amount of boost you want. Need more info on what you have and want.Goals

dont have anything yet... YET that is
my goal... getting into the 9's without n2o. i know it kind seems hard to do, but i'll have the money to do so. im just trying to figure out a good setup to do... either going N/A or boosting. seems to me i can achive more power from boosting on the camaro than i would going N/A. im trying to figure out what i have to do to get into the 9's before i do anything yet... but n2o would be my last option. my idea was to go n/a on the ls1, pushing everything i could into that engine, but it seems to me that the more i think about it, the cheaper it is to go w/ a turbo to get into the 9's on an LS1. what do you think? peace

Im only runnig 6psi, also Im running 9-1 CR so I should run 9-11 psi but I want to keep my motor in 1 peice. Also Im on a 10-1 AF, verry rich, I could prob get around 50 more HP if I went to 11-1 or 11.5-1 AF. I the more room thing is crap, On the twins they r under the car so u dont loose any room! The kit is a work of art, very nice and comes with everything you need. Let me know what info u need I'll answer anything I can

Drag car only? 9s on a ls1 is going to run some BIG $$$$$$$. 9's is what around 600-800 hp + depending on the car. You need to build the motor 1rst then find a power adder. A SC,T or TT will get you there. You might look into a stroker turbo/SC to lower the boost some. Have you searched this topic much? Dont know about LS-1s and boost but my car is given me hell with the MAF/ECM, and i have obd1. I know in GMHT I wread an artical on an 02 LS-1 with a TNT 150 shot making over 600TQ and 590hp, but im not a GAS type of guy. So it depends on the $$$$s anything can be at a arms reach away if you have $$$$$$$$$$$$$ to back it. Need some more info to be able to give an honest opion. If your set on a tt you need to ask a another person. I work in Miami give me a call some time. The phone number is in sig/ griffinautomotive.com ask for bill. I might be able to help ya some what. THE FUN STARTS NOW!

well.... money wont be an issue once i get my job in a few months.
i just wanna get my car into the 9's... it's gonna take some time, i know, thats the fun part about it but... i think it'll be bad ass to get a camaro that far.
its just when i put it together in my head, a turbo setup boosting 800+ hp and torque looks like a cheaper way than to go all motor. if you have any good ideas on how to get into the 9's on an ls1 w/o turbo and w/o n2o, lemme know. my aim sn is 'surfnzero'. ill talk to you later man, peace

NOYZEE,
you got any pics of the actuall plumbing? I'm having problems seeing how this thing all fits together. Is the turbo manifold for both turbos on just one side of the engine? Or is the picture they show on the CAS webcite symmetric (i.e. 1 turbo per exhaust manifold)? Does this system hook up to a Y-pipe or did you have to run true dual exhaust or their custom Y-pipe? The price sounds good, but I'm worried about the install. Any pics or info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

1 turbo per manifold, the turbo bolts right into the manifold, Actually it is a header. I have some pics of the top half but Tony from CAS is waiting for me to send him some pics of the plumbing, he didnt take pics I did and I have to make some doubles and send thenm to him, So I'll get off my ass and do it as soon as I can, maybe this weekend, I ve been crazy bussy but if I send them to CAS then its his problem. If you go to www.ls1turbo.com you can get some pics of the first stage 1 kit. That isnt what you will get but you can at least get an Idear!
