*Not a personal attack* but threads like this should be closed immediately, if not deleted. Am I the only one who's f***ing sick of finding 60% Ford content on here? geewiz, take it elsewhere, once and for all! This has NOTHING to do with 5th gen f-body. We're on a GM website in a 5th gen forum..
Oh by the way, you like the new Fiat Gnat? It's great. I wonder if it'll compete with the new Lancia Dungbeetle. I forget which has 562HP and which has 29.4HP, but I'm really excited.

Kizz, apparently you can't read!
"News and information on upcoming vehicles."
That is the sub-title of this section, note that is does not say "upcoming F-bodies" but "upcoming vehicles". I think the forum should be renamed, let's be honest... if we posted only about the 5th gen this would be a pretty dead forum since there is NO FIFTH GEN to talk about!!!

I can read.. the URL I'm at is www.camaroz28.com and/or www.camaroz28.com .. now tell me WTF a Cobra has to do with this?
Fact remains that we don't care to know about 2003 Cobra times, since that info is readily found on Ford forums. This is a GM forum first and foremost. Secondly there's plenty of info circulating about 5th gen, if you'd take the time to read the other threads here.. This has apparently become an "unofficial" next-gen GTO forum too, which fits in great IMHO. Is that fair enough? I said it wasn't a personal attack but if you want to turn it into one, suit yourself.

Cobra info fits in fine, IMO...
What Ford does with Mustang will certainly have an effect on any new Camaro or Firebird.

What part of "upcoming vehicles" don't you understand? I think only a moron would not be able to see the connection of the current Mustang offerings to any future plans GM has for our beloved F-body. Personally, I don't read ANY Ford forums so this is the only place I get the "real" scoup on the competition.
I've read all the post on here concerning a 5th gen and the only constant is that nobody really knows and EVERYTHING is speculation to this point. AGAIN what Ford does has a direct impact on any possible 5th gen.
So with that said, here is a little advice for you kizz... if the post header hints at any topic not related to a 5th gen and ONLY a 5th gen then DON'T OPEN IT!!! That way you won't get your panties in a wad.

Well, so far the best educated guess about Cobras is that they will be high performer, mid 12 second cars. The fact also is that in stock form, they push 360 rwhp. Another fact is that exhaust is extremely restrictive, and freeing up the exhaust on the cobra puts it to 400 rwhp.
These are facts as are brought about by various magazines and articles, not as "what my friends' girlfriend's boyfriend saw at the track".
There are variables that will have cobras make 13 second passes. Just the same way as some test Z06 and find it only does 1/4 mile in 12.7 seconds, and someone actually managed to squeeze a whopping 13+ second timeslip from Z06 and were eager enough to publish such results in their magazine. This shows absolutely nothing.
Road&Track actually had most LT1 fbodies do 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds. Motortrend managed 14.2. We all know they're good 13.9 - 14.1 second cars.
Right now there is a lot of bash talk circulating forums (domestic, import, snowmobile, you name it) that Cobra sucks. Why? Well, if you can't do the walk, at least do the talk.
My understanding is that fbodies were talked of similarly in 92/93 until they came out and were made available to public.
