Who's going to pay for that?
And where are these vehicles going to come from?
Oh, let me guess. China?

I can't even see how this would work.

Very interesting, I wish them luck. Saturn should go back to just having 2 cars with all body styles, coupe, wagon, sedan or even hatch and focus on fuel economy and reliability. Keep things simpler like in the 90's

Here's Jill Lajdziak's blog post on the subject:

It might be possible, but sourcing the vehicles isn't going to be easy.

The brand name is tarnished

They have put their dealers and everyone else on hold for the last year, who would want to buy a car from a brand that's future is uncertain?

GM Should have taken the "saturn way" and applied it to the other brands early in the 90's, by now they would be well established in providing top quality customer support.

After working for Saturn for a year and with a top national dealer, I'm sorry, but they have to die- They offer nothing special and do not have many followers.

As someone else already stated, this would be a great opportunity for a Chinese manufacturer to quickly bring their vehicles to north America. Simply buy Saturn from GM and rebadge their products as "Saturns" after the current Saturn products run their course.
