blimishes in my niteshades

I just nite shaded my taillights last weekend and i got some spots and little buggys that got in the clear coat. My question is how can i remove them and still keep it shiny. They are barly noticable but still there. I was thinking wetsanding then some polish or rubbing compound then wax. Any ideas would be great thanks.
