315 BFG DR's cracking?

Ive got some 315/30/18 BFG Dr's that are a couple years old that have some pretty severe splits in the side wall. They are mounted on 18x10.5" wide Z06's and the tire pressure is always 28-35bs. So why would they be splitting/cracking like this? I'll post pics when I can get them uploaded.

Dry rotting. Does the car sit in the sun alot? Is it hot where you live? And actually tire shine will somewhat help that in the future.

Just went out and checked mine.... more than 7 years old, and no signs of cracking. They have always been treated with a tire preservative (not Armorall). They have probably spent about 1/2 of their life on the car, and the other half sitting in my garage.

Make sure you do not store the tires near anything that might produce an electric spark, like a furnace with an electronic igniter, or high HP electric motors. They generate ozone, and ozone will cause tires to crack.

It sat in storage for a few months, but the roof leaked the melting snow so it was pretty moist in there. The rest of the time I have been driveing it. I used meguires tire shine around october/november.

Most of the time it sits in the garage when not driven, but I have been driveing it more often now that diesel is almost $4.00 a gallon.

Also wasn't sitting next to anything electrical.

Might want to check if thats covered under warranty, if there is one. IIRC drag radials dont come with any type of warranty.
