...anyone have this set-up?

...FLP's headers with off-road pipe and a loudmouth? This is the set-up I'll be working on this spring. The loudmouth is already in and the FLP's are waiting to be installed. My question is, how loud or what kind of tone I'll looking at. I know it will be very loud, but what I don't want to get rid of the loudmouth. Is there any way I can modify the cat back system to ease up on the tone? Any at all options (not opinions) are welcome.

Regards;

Mike

It's kind of ironic, to want the loudmouth, but not the loud exhaust note. The only thing I can think of is to get a muffler, but that would be kind of silly IMO.

You may also want to think about having some type of plate system fabricated, like that which the Borla uses.

....God I love the people that sit in front of the computer 24-7, thanks for the quick response. I'm not certain how the borla plate system works, can you please lend me a brain

Thanks Jack;

LOL, I guess I'm hooked.

The borla comes with plates, each having a different sized hole. The smaller the hole, the quieter the exhaust. Without a plate, it is obnoxious. Kind of like the loudmouth. This might be an option for you!

You could also replace your resonator on the loudmouth with a bullet muffler, not sure which one would keep it quiet, ask around to find out though, and that would be the best way in my opinion.
