Help quick. Motor won't rev past 2500 rpm under load.

Some how my buddies nitrous fired when it should have not fired and it caused a nitrous backfire. The motor turns over fine. but under load the engine will not rev past 2500 rpms. While in neutral or in park the motor revs up just fine. We changes the coil and that didn't help any. Also we disconected the Accel 300+ ingnition and Maf translator to test them but that didn't solve the problem. So anyone else have any possible reasons as to what may be causing it. So smart guy's please help!!!!

Is throwing a code?Check the TPS voltage, can't see how a backfire would cause it to go bad but it sounds very similar to when mine died. Good luck.

Pull plugs. Check the MAF and make sure the backfire didnt burn it up. Check all connections between maf and TB.
