How do you tell when bottle needs re-certed?

I have an unused bottle that came with the kit and I've had it for about a year and the guy I got it from I think had it for a couple years. I don't know for sure just how old the bottle is.

the bottle's production date is usually stamped on the bottle...ours are stamped on the upper curved portion....the date is on the end of the second row...the ones on the shelf read 01A07...or Jan 2007

That's what I thought. I just didn't know what number to look at. Do you happen to know how often the bottles need recerted and where to send them? It's an NX bottle.
Thanks
