LE2 LT1 with 75-125 shot. Do I have to change plugs?

I was thinking about adding some laughing gas, but dont know if Im 100% sure on that.

I was wondering if I do not change my plugs (I currently have the ones that Lloyd recommends for the LE2 setup) will it be alright for a 75 shot?

And which one would be safer in that application? Wet or dry? I have 42lb injectors in there currently.

I would go with a wet kit, and NGK TR6 plugs. They are a step colder to help keep you from detonating. Also, if you dont already, I would get a new ignition system, such as the mallory 685. That way you can retard timing and have a window switch for the nitrous. BTW, your formula is AWESOME! You got any sound clips?

I would do the wet kit and toss in a new, higher flowing fuel pump while your at it. I would talk to Lloyd again, let him know you are going to be spraying as well and see what he recommends.

I agree, talk to Lloyd again, he will be your best source for finding out what you may need.

For the LT1 platform, we prefer a wet kit. As we have seen some injector problems with 80+psi of fuel pressure.

As far as the spark plugs you will want to run a NGK TR6 or equivilent.

I also agree... I've run both wet & dry LT1 nitrous systems... and I much prefer a wet system for the LT1..........Even a pretty good set of fuel injectors like you have were really never meant to have a 80+ LB pressure spike exerted on them, and many guys I've known(including myself) over the years have had reliability issues with the Dry LT1 kits....even if one of your injectors decideds to stutter or lock for a split second while spraying, that's the end of your fun(quite easily for good).....there's also a lot less fine tuning ability with a LT1 Dry kit, and alot greater chance for something to go wrong..........Like the NGK TR6's, the (common to find everywhere) Autolite 103's would also be perfect for your plans..........Joe

I asked the same question to Lloyd just a couple of weeks ago about my LE2 combination. Here is his response, word for word:

"The 5671A-7 plugs will work on NOS but if going over a 200-250 shot a colder plug (-8 or -9) might be even better. These colder plugs WILL fail faster when running N/A though."

The NGK plug he mentioned is what he recommeded for my LE2 combo for NA. You will have to close the plug gaps to somewhere around 0.032" or so to run Nitrous. I agree that a wet kit is a better choice for an LT1.
