Will LSx Injectors fit my LT1?

Hey- just need a quick answer!-

I've come across a set of FAST 36# injectors but they are for an LSx car- I've heard of people putting them into our fuel rails and also into the TPI fuel rails. What all needs to be done to make them fit?

Thanks!

They will fit fine but what pressure are they rated at. The LSx motors run about 60PSI. IF they are rated at 60psi they will flow less at the lower pressure the LT1 uses.

Thumbs up

LS1/LS6 injectors are fine, they use the Multec electrical connector (rectangular).

LS2/LS7 injectors will need connector adapters as they use the new USCAR electrical connector (still 2 prong design, but the plastic is an oval set up with rubber gaskets.

The connector adapters will run you about $7/piece from Caspers Electronics, and look like 6" long harness extensions.

Quick tip: Ford Racing now makes a 1" long fitting/dongle design that eliminates the extra wiring... I got mine for $55/set of 8 (they call them EV6 to EV1 adapters, only listed in the new catalog and wasn't in the computer yet at the local Ford Racing dealer).

These dongles or adapter harnesses allows us LTx and LS1/LS6 guys to use LS2/LS7 injectors, or more importantly, '03-'04 Cobra ("Terminator") injectors I picked up two sets of the 39#/hr Cobra injectors for $135 each, while others have found them for even less. Even with the Ford Racing converters a set of 39# injectors are now under $200 easy.

BTW, I've used LS1 injectors for the pasty 100,000 miles... it was cheaper than cleaning the stock LT1 set, and gave a bit cleaner look on the manifold (EV1 / Rochester Multec are fat b@stards ).
