'97 Z28 for sale... no responses?

OK, gang. What's up? What's not appealing about this car? I haven't gotten one response and the car's been up for sale for at least a week.

Is it the location? The price? What?

97 Camaro Z28 6 sp, 350, 81K mi.,

GREAT CONDITION - not ragged out - dark green, t-tops don't leak, 30th Anniv logo on seat backs. Maintained. $7500. I have a used FlowMaster for sale, too. $90. Tampa/Clearwater, FL area. Email damiller1@gmail.com. Pictures posted on AutoTrader:http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=en&cardist=0

I am not interested but since you asked why there is no response, I will tell you what I think. The market value for the car is closer to $6000 than $7500 imo.

It's teal, not green correct? If so, that's why. Plus too pricey (since you asked).

As the others have said, it's mainly the price.
You can find an LS1 car for that much.
Sorry man

Good luck selling it though, as it looks like a nice car.

Ahhhhh... OK... though it's not a "beater" In the tampa area, private seller value is $6500. The car is GREEN not teal.

New clutch, new OPTI, new oil pump, surpentine, tensioner, radiator, ingnition module w/ harness, MAF hose, plugs, wires...

Thanks for your repsonses... I appreciate it.

Just looked at your car on the auto trader link,,,,WOW,,,if it is in the same shape that the pictures show, you shouldn't have any problem selling it, + its a 30th anny car. I can't believe why anyone would rag-on it They obviously haven't taken the time to check out the autotrader link. If I didn't already have two, I would grab it up! 6 to 7 grand is a fair price for a well maintained car. Have you posted it on the Tampa revxtreme.com board? SWEET CAR Good luck.

Thank you... I appreciate the positive response. Most of the Zs you'll find are pretty dogged out.. ragged out... or as one guy said in this string, a beater.

Yes, the car is in that great of shape. I was in my forties when I bought it... my dream car. Kept it maintained - oil changes and so forth. I'm sad I have to sell it.

Re: '97 Z28 for sale... no responses?

The reason its not selling is because of the LT1 effect...

no one wants LT1's... they all want LS1's .... I'm actually looking at converting my car from LT1 to LS1 at some point (considering that NO ONE wants the LT1 ... you practically can't give these cars away!)

you'd have to cut that $6,000 figure down to about $3,000 before anyone would bite... or put a LS1 in it I had mine up for $4500 and its a good running vehicle with lots of good mods.... had it up for a month and not ONE seriously interested buyer...

sorry to have to be the one to say this, but its 100% true... us LT1 guys got royally screwed because a stock or mild bolt-on LS1 = cammed LT1

just my $0.02

Re: '97 Z28 for sale... no responses?

I am sure it is a nice car, but the LS1 market has dropped in price so now the LT1 cars are really cheap (or not selling). Maybe you should ebay it or something. Usually people are looking for a specific model there and yours may be it. The Trans Ams usually sell for a little more and they are going for as low as 4-4.5K (not all, but some). Good luck on your sale though.

PS: That green is pretty unique.
