GMT-900 Silverado question

With the front end of the Tahoe out in the open, and the spy shots of the Silverado now out. Does anyone anyone know if the Sivlerado is going to look just like the Tahoe in the front end? I'm talking like the grill opening and the front bumper cover, the hood lines and slope. That type of stuff. What does everyone think?

Re: GMT-900 Silverado question

I've heard from several places that they will be different...

I can't seem to get an answer on the GMT-900 Avalanche though... whether it'll share a front clip with Tahoe, Silverado, or be unique.

Re: GMT-900 Silverado question

If anything I think the bumpers will definitely be chrome metal, with the frt having a plastic valance or/and plastic top cover that flows into the headlamps, like the F-150. I'm thinking same headlamps with a different grille.

I hope it looks very similar to that truck. Loved it!

That may have been closer to the actual design the we all actually thought.

Re: GMT-900 Silverado question

The GMT900 pick ups will be siginificantly different than their SUV counterparts. The Avalanche will resemble the Tahoe.

Josh, do you know if GM setup embargo dates on anything debuting this auto season?

Re: GMT-900 Silverado question

I haven't read anything on the new trucks coming out, but if GM is redesigning their trucks, I sure hope they fix the stupid little issues like the cheap, easy to break door handles and tailgate latch? Otherwise, we've got a 2000 GMC Sierra Z71 (5.3L, 4x4), and I think it's a great truck! I wouldn't buy anything other than a GM truck right now anyway, but if they would just fix the dumb, easily "fixable" problems, then they would undisputably be the best trucks on the market.

If I remember right, the pick-ups will be shown in Chicago & New York since they begin production in late '06 as '07 models.

We all know what the talk of the NAIAS is going to be. I also believe the Avalanche is set to debut in Detroit as well.

Should be quite the showing for Chevrolet. Pontiacs showing will be at L.A.
