Stock rear stabilizer bar endlink broke

Hello,

I was replacing my rear springs today and removed my stock rear stabilizer bar endlinks, because the rear end wouldn't drop low enough with it connected.
One of the endlinks broke and now I need a new one.

Good thing is I got my new springs in and It's great.

I thought about ordering the 1LE rear stabilizer bar endlinks from GM Parts Direct, but I don't know if they will fit.

Any help would be cool.

Thanks.

Several of the supporting vendors on this board sell poly endlinks and bushings for the rear sway bar, but if you are in a bind, Autozone carries that stuff as well. You are looking at anywhere from 15.00-30.00, no big deal.

Re: Stock rear stabilizer bar endlink broke

Thanks for the reply 2000GTP.

Just got back from 2 different Autozones here and neither one had ever carried the parts, so I still need to know where I can get these from.

Will the 1LE rear stabilizer bar endlinks from GM Parts Direct fit my stock bar?

Thanks.

GM PART # 10221779 should be what you want.

Re: Stock rear stabilizer bar endlink broke

Thank you Shoebox.

That's the part I was going to order but wasn't sure if it would fit my stock bar.

Now I have a thought. Since the car isn't my daily driver and the endlink is broken and needs to be replaced, would it be a good idea to go with a aftermarket bar? If so, what brand and type?

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Re: Stock rear stabilizer bar endlink broke

You could just go with the GM 1LE rear sway bar as an upgrade along with the endlinks. Other manufacturers on the market are Spohn, BMR, Addco, Sam Strano, to name a few..There are alot of different options in regards to bar size, material type, use, ect.

I would not go with a larger rear bar and the stock front bar. Do the front first or do them together.

Re: Stock rear stabilizer bar endlink broke

Thank you guys for your replies.

I just ordered the end links for now.

I'm sure the new Eibach Pro Kit Springs and KYB AGX Shocks I just installed will be a major improvement in handling of the car.

This board has really help me in a lot.

Thank you.
