I got the front plate done then I went to try to figure out how to make the shape for the fiberglass enclosure part and got pissed
I plan on doing the tweeter pods in the triangle plastic things on the front doors, is that where yours are? How did you go about it?
I was thinking just cut holes for the tweeter cup and glass in the cup.

Yea heres where you can check out my tweeter pods! I used the triangle to start for the basic shape so I had a very rough image of the original piece. I then used modeling clay to make the exact shape I needed to make it hold the tweeter. I glassed over that a couple times. I cut open the back and picked out all the clay. The 1 hard part is making your mold to fit in place just like the original. It might look flat but it was a PITA. I would dremel too much and have to re-glass it. Another hard job is making it strong and smooth. I just used some black spary paint from left over but its definately not done. I'ma use this cool black textured stuff I saw at Lowes. Oh and I still gotta figure out how i'm going to mount the pods
I think this will involve more glassing. Also...I have ideas but I still need to fully fab up a way so the tweeter will stay attached to the pods.

Oh and i'm going about doing the opposite first for the box. I'm in the process with great sucess. Cardboard for the bottom and I taped news paper all over. I got that spary expanding foam and went crazy. I pulled the whole foam block out with minor problems. I then taped the whole out side of the foam and thats where i'm at now. Still need to make a MDF frame the front plate will attach to so that I can glass that all together.
