who has Fastburn heads?

I am thinking about using fast burns on my 77 L-48 350... these are low compression motors that hardly push any AIR.... If you have used these heads on your factory 350 and have any dyno numbers please report them with other mods....

If I keep m orginal l-48 block I am looking for 300-325 rwhp so I will need to make a 375-400Hp 350. This way I can keep up with modern day cars and run low 13s

Re: who has Fastburn heads?

with those heads and a mild cam,375-400 hp wouldnt be that hard.

if ur lookin for some more compression,u might be able to use a thinner head gasket,or mill the heads some.

Re: who has Fastburn heads?

the Fastburns use the same intake port and chamber shape as the LT4 heads except there conventional coolant flow and have a 64cc chamber rather then the 54.4 of the LT4...they even use the same sodium filled intake valves...LT4's made 330HP@5,800 and 340lb ft@4,400...if you mill the decks for a smaller chamber remember to mill the intake face aswell...

when i had a stock LT4 in my GTA iit trapped 109...that was with long tube headers and dual exhaust with a 650 dbl pumper carb...remember the LT4 ss camaros trapped 107

Re: who has Fastburn heads?

SDPC says the have a 62cc chamber? I actually thought they were smaller than 62cc... I thought they were 58cc

I guess nothing a little machine work and head gaskets couldn't fix.

Do either of you guys have dyno numbers?

320 horse/ 330 torque with miniram III at 9:5:1 roughly 50 more horse/ 70 more torque with superram....and 10:8:1 we'll see after it's tuned and the heads are back from the mil.

WOW..not bad... I am still thinking AFR 195...but the chambers are 68cc.. if the chambers were smaller I would go with them w/o thinking becasue the AFR flow a lil better than the Fastburns.

Re: who has Fastburn heads?

its not concrete, but ive beat a lightning that trapped 113 was door to door with a vette that trapped 115 and lost a carlenght to a H/C LS1 that trapped 119...going by that and my weight of 3400 pounds im roughly 360 to the ground..with a 224/230 cam and stock Lt4 heads

the fastburns flow 242@.500 and the AFR 195's flow 262...
