They're not so bad. I also owned an 89 Mirage turbo. That's the only year they came stock with a turbo, and there were less than 1500 made. It also got a better suspension and disc brakes all around.
The best part is that at every red light, people choose the other lane because they're sure you're going to slow them down. Mine could spin a tire from a 70 roll
(granted, they were only 195 width but still...)
I killed the stock 1.6 liter after neglecting to change the timing belt. It's now in the Louisville KY area with a 2.0 built like the one in the video. I had a chance to buy it back but didn't want to pay the $5k asking price.

i thought we were talking about the 1977 chevy monza mirage , v 8 power 4 speed trans posi rear,red white and blue what a car (well it only had 150 hp from the factory but any small block fit)
