I took my car back over to my buddy's shop where we built it, (Lehman Powertrain and Performance Muskogee, OK), and the owner, Ben, was trying to talk a friend of his into letting him work on his 04 'vette. When I walked up, Ben told the guy, "Hell, I bet I'd take you in his '94 Z" his friend told him, in not so many words, if an old '94 Z could beat him, Ben would be doing work on his vette. We went out in front of his shop, where he has the 1/4 marked by two yellow lines on the sholder, and ben told the guy, When you see him hit the brakes, that means that's the 1/4. after about a 10 second pause, the guy goes "Hey! you mean...nevermind". In addition to getting work done on his vette now, we are gonna show him how to drive his car. he revved up the car, and at the go, he let it drop back to idle before he even shifted in to gear, then shifted from 2nd to 5th. Any way, it wasn't even close. I'm prolly gonna lose when we race again in a month or so, but it was fun anyway.
