Turbo Oil lines

Ok well most of the parts for my turbo install have arrived so it will be going on soon. I still have a few obsicals to overcome and I really need y'alls help.
What size is the fitting near the oil filter that is used for a feed line? Male or female fitting? What kind of fitting and hose do you use for it? Could I use brass fittings and like hard stainless brake lines or do i need a bigger feed line?
Would it be better to use a self tapping fitting in the oil pan for the return line or to have a -AN nut welded on? Where can i get the self tapping nut? Is there even room to get a welder to the front of the pan to weld the nut on? A local turbo drag car bulider told me to weld on a nut, then use a punch to make the hole in the pan and keep stepping up in size until its as big as the nut. That way there won't be any chance of shaving getting in the pan.

Any help on these subjects is greatly appreciated. I am VERY close to getting the turbo on the car and I want it to go as smoothly as it can once I get started.

the fitting right above the oil filter most people say is a 1/8" npt but I found mine to be 1/4" npt. I just converted the 1/4 npt to a -4AN line. From there I went to the turbo. On the oil dump side I just used 5/8" ID oil line. The oil pan I took off and welded a 5/8' OD tubing. Make sure the tubing being welded is higher than oil level and is positioned beside a main cap. If it is positioned beside a rotating part, the dump line could get pressure built in the line and cause oil to puke out the exhaust
