Post Bottle opener woes...

I installed my NX remote bottle opener last summer and I have never really got it to work. The opener turns, but the problem I have is: when opening and closing the bottle, it sometimes gets stuck. Meaning if I open the bottle for too long, it gets stuck open and the motor doesn't have enough torque to close it. Same thing happens when closing it.

I thought there was a way to adjust the torque on the motor, but I'm unsure how to do it. Anyone have similar problems?

I had the same problem so I had to tighten up the clutch. It works alot better now but I still have to hit the switch a few time to fully open or close. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution.

What kind of openers do you all have? I have a Zex remote opener and I notice one day that it would not open when I wanted it too. I heard it turning but my nitrous pressure gauge never moved. I didnt think anything of it cause it never happened again.
What are the possibilities of problems? I want to check so it doesnt happen if Im ever in a time of need!

I have a NX opener. I think the NX and the ZEX look very similar> Hell they mightbe the same piece. The only real problem I see is that your bottle may no open when you want or in my case it doesn't close tight enough sometimes and I never can never seem to get every leak out I fix one and find another has sprung up. Very slow leak no visible nitrous just enough to tick me off.

Ok guys, I fooled around with mine till I was ready to chunk it in the lake next to my house, then I finally figured it out. You need remove the motor and clutch assembly. Then take the clutch unit out and put it on top or the billet peice that goes on the valve and work it with you hand. Tighten as needed to open and close the valve...then let it sit for an hour or so(this is a good time to have a couple of beers cause your gonna need it) and come back and do it again. I will say this...the clutch it pretty tight when you get it work right. Also make sure you dont bind it up when you put the whole unit on the bottle neck(the base plate should be flush with the outter housing).
I still have to hit the open twice to get it open and I have a pressure guage up front that I can see to confirm its open. Darn thing was a real PITA.
