XM Radio Delete or Internal Antenna

I am wanting to buy a fully loaded SS, but I DO NOT want an external XM radio antenna. So, their are two options, give me an enternal antenna, or give me an XM Radio Delete option; either of them will solve my issue. I am pretty sure other people feel the same way I do, so if you feel the same way speak up; hopefully, GM will listen.

The C6 XM antenna migrated to under the windshield for 07, so perhaps they could utilize it, but I dont think that technology has made it down under yet.

I definitely think it should be an option. It really hurts the looks of the car. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but it is an eye-sore that I'd find some way to get rid of.

Isn't the one at the top of the windsheild the OnStar? I think the XM got moved to the passenger side mirror.

yeah, that big ugly antenna isn't XM, it's Onstar. And unfortunately, Onstar is standard on all GM vehicles now. I never even activated mine because 1- i dont want another monthly expense, and 2- I don't need someone controlling features of my car remotely... I'm perfectly capable of operating a vehicle and getting where I need to go by myself. They really do need to hide that thing though, it really detracts from the look of the Camaro. It's bad enough on my G6.

GM is not going to offer the option for several reasons. One is that whole fact that every change in production line activity causes increased cost. The second is that they make money on Onstar and XM. I hope that an aftermarket company will come up with a body colored version or cover because it will improve the look at least.

that's fine if it raises production cost, charge me to delete it, now i have to pay a body shop to fill the hole, when i take it off; because that thing looks horrible

you would have imagined they would have learned after they made the same mistake on the vettes, nevermind that would be too obvious
