Why not dual latches where hood pins are on a race car or vette/Rx7 reverse hood?

Why not dual latches where hood pins are on a race car or vette/Rx7 reverse hood?

If the Latch is in the way of the Ram Air on the SS, and the lightweight hood needed more structure at higher speed, Why not Dual latches in the locations hood pins would be on a race car? It would keep the hood stable with a soloution that racers came up with for lightweight fiberglass hoods long ago yet still be production clean and not visible. The ram air would be opened up and able to take in air. Is this possible or is there something Im missing?

If not that why not Vette Rx7 hood type opening in the back?

Do either of these make sense? Is it too late? I kinda like the idea of a dual latch in hood pin locations if it makes sense. Your thoughts.

I take it you dont think that would make sense for production? I would be a bit hesitant to cut on a brand new car to put it lightly.
