P0134 code after header leak

So my drivers side header bolt fell out causing my header gasket to fail now I have p0134 code (O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1) no activity. Could this be from the header gasket failing? Now that sensor is cooked? How do I tell if it's the sensor Forsure and not the wiring etc?

Thanks

I'd fix the leak first and see where that gets ya. I'm pretty sure an exhaust leak can cause that code.

I did fix it already, sorry I didn't explain that. I erased the code twice and it keeps coming up. I'll drive it some more and see of it works it way out of the system.

I seem to remember Fred saying that certain adhesives/sealers can damage the O2 sensors. I don't remember the details however. Did you use any of those to fix the leak?

Re: P0134 code after header leak

P0134 indicates that the O2 sensor reading is static, in the range of 352-552 mV. That typically means there is an open circuit, and the PCM is "seeing" only it's own bias voltage (450 mV). Swap the left and right bank pre-cat sensors side-to-side. If the problem stays on Bank 1 (P0134), it's a wiring problem. If the problem follows the sensor to Bank 2 (P0154) it's a sensor problem.

Silicone ingredients in sealers like RTV can contaminate the sensors.
