One reason I put a Blower on mine is cause it helps pass smog
My old 355 wouldn't pass without the Blower.

Way to go man! Glad it worked out for you guys.
Also wondering if rigging the air pump to stay on would help pass smog.

I have a question about unhooking the injectors. If you unhook 2 injectors, shouldn't you disconnect those sparkplugs as well? I mean, if there is still spark going to those cylinders, but no fuel, will that not have a bad effect?

No. The AIR pump adds the air before the O2 sensors. The sensors would see the extra "air" and start adding extra fuel that the engine doesn't need.

If there is only air in the combustion chamber, and no fuel, there will be no combustion. You might generate a trace of ozone from the high voltage discharge of the plug, but that's not an emissions issue.

Which 2 injectors?

My uncle and his hot rod buddies told us to hook up a compressed air tank and tape it into the exhaust before the cat/sniffer(duh) rig a switch connected to petal, then open up the tank and hope. They said the compressed O2 will change the mixture of expelled exhaust and flush out.

I helped my brother do the same thing using the AIR. Just routed some plumbing to just after the cat and rigged up a switch. BTW ...he had allready done the !AIR....we just put it back in the stock location and rigged the rest....worked like a charm.

But what if you ran a switch in your car, and ran the lines to a tapped thread or something just before the cat... therefore always injecting air into the system after the O2's... what kinda volume of air is released from that air pump?

I don't think that little air pump would really push enough air to do that. It might be able to, but I don't think it has the *****.

You would have to disconnect atleast one of your oxygen sensors to run in open loop & then disconnect 2 injectors otherwise the others will be running really rich since the o2's will make the computer compensate, disconnect one o2 & you're running open loop.

We didn't "tape" the hose to the pipe. Like i mentioned before you use a connection piece from an air compressor and tack weld it into the pipe before the cat. Check the post at the beginning of the thread it has a link that will help answer some more questions.
