Exhaust crackle/pop until closed loop normal?

Exhaust crackle/pop until closed loop normal?
I have the 3 inch single out flowmaster system FYI....until my car goes into closed loop on my scanner the exaust will crackle when coming off of revs, nothing loud like a backfire but enough to hear it from fairly far away. Would this be normal with the type of exhaust I have or should I look into it? Thanks for any tips

yeah my flowmaster did it too. and that slp loud mouth does it REAL bad. it has to do with the fuel mixture when the eng. is cold. for some reason, my new edelbrock catback and madz28 tune does not do it.
Ive always thought it may have something to do with the AIR pump. when the eng. starts cold, the pcm turns on the air pump to heat the cat. conv.s, so I wonder if it has to do with the AIR pump being on. try unplugging it next time you cold start it to see if that makes it go away. but beready to have the code cleared cause it'll prolly turn on the check eng. light.
