engine kicked back this morning

my first thoughts were hydro locked, it literally kicked back like an old dirt bike and shattered the starter
that's why I turned it over with a pry bar. but no resistance.
It did lock up about 2 months ago and I started checking the injectors, looking for traces of water loss in the oil.
it only does strange things after sitting
my racing rival/friends ls actually broke a rod and the oil pan was full of gas

When I ran my Electromotive SDI, I had the problem once. The SDI was known for hitting 180 degrees out every once in a while. Of course, the day it did it to me, I was about 330 miles from home. Same deal, hit key, nose cone fell on ground. If the rotor comes off of the opti, this same issue can happen. A friend was running his car on the dyno and his brand new MSD opti had the rotor fall off during a run. Massive backfire and car died.
Now, that said, wife's convertible did this one time. A friend had bought the car from us and he had some sheet aluminum valve covers put on the engine. Well, the mechanic that did it pulled the fuel rails and also swapped injectors. Long story short, he did not get all of the injectors completely seated in the intake. When the car sat and it rained, water got in the cylinder and hydrolocked the engine. Luckily, he hurt nothing but his brand new starter...
Now, the above novel completed, I say you either have fluid accumulating in a cylinder due to water getting in there or a leaky injector or you have an ignition issue.

Mine did this. Had a headgasket seeping water. Car sat for two weeks, fired it up and bent a rod/broke a piston.
