Camshaft kit question??

Camshaft kit question??
I have a 96 z28 (350 LT1) and am looking for a few N/A performance mods. What I have right now is: K & N Intake, full SLP loudmouth exhaust with bowtie tips, hypertech power programmer, and a 3.73 rear gear ratio. I am looking to get full length (longtube) hooker headers, a twin 58mm throttle body and a camshaft kit of some sort. I am really looking for something pretty aggressive with a deep "lope" to it and I am really lost in the plethora of choices and suggestions from friends. If anyone in this forum could give me any suggestions of what would be the most "bang for my buck" I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Is your car an manual (M6) or automatic (A4)? That will determine how the car responds to a big cam. With an A4, you typically need a higher stall torque converter to go with the steeper gears. With an M6, you might want to move up to 4.11's.
A couple thoughts on what you have done and your plans..... the Hypertech power programmer is not very useful for anything other than changing the gear ratio, the speed limiter, rev limiter, shift points, etc. The "power program" has been shown to reduce HP, unless you also have a 160* t'stat, and the reprogrammed fan on/off temps. When you go to the new cam, you are going to need a real "tune". Ditch the Hypertech, and get it done right.
Also does not appear you are at the point where you will need a 58mm throttle body. In addition to the TB, you would need to have the ports in the intake manifold opened up from 52mm to 58mm. Even with a cam, the 58mm TB is overkill.

My car (unfortunately) is a 4 speed automatic and everything is standard with the tranny. Yeah the hypertech programmer seems to cause more problems than anything. There was a period of time that it caused my speedometer to read about 30 mph too fast. So, I do not really use it too much. So what are your thoughts on what type of cam would be best?
