The oil pressure sensor does not connect to the PCM, nor is it interlocked with the fuel system in any way. Can't be the problem. Corvette LT1 is a different story.

So my mechanic friend was able to find his OBD1 tester, and he is getting a code 16. Kind of surprising seems as I have a MSD Optispark on here that is less than a year old....Guess even the good ones go bad??

Based on postings over the last 10 years or so, on three different sites like this where I am (or was until recently) active!, I would estimate that the MSD is no better than, and possibly worse than the AC Delco/Delphi units with regard to failure rate. I've reviewed data logs that identified two MSD units that failed, producing strange erratic high resolution signals, one of them immediately after being rebuilt by MSD and returned to the owner.
Any unit can fail... even the factory parts. None of them are bulletproof.

Re: '94 Z28 Stalls!
Finally back! It was the MSD optispark, removed and sent back for repair. After a month I got it back and we installed it. Runs OK but still has an intermittent stumble/miss/vibration. No codes, so trying to track down anything different...
