water pump problem

ok i replaced my water pump because it was leaking coolant. a couple days later i noticed oil drops coming from the water pump. after 3 times of taking the water pump off, i noticed that the oil leak was coming from the cam gear that drives the water pump. i put the two 'O' rings in and it still leaks. im pretty sure that the two 'O' rings are just to prevent dirt from getting in, is there another seal that im just not seeing that i might have knicked or cut to where it leaks now? Thanks
~Chris

You need to replace the water pump's drive seal in the timing cover.
